Early Times Report JAMMU, Dec 16: In the wake of leaking of secret information, police headquarters (PHQ) has tasked its CID wing to identify the black sheep in the department by keeping a track on their activities and the phone calls they make to their acquaintances, including media persons. The need to this effect was felt following the "deliberate" leaking of some secret information related to police, police sources said. While the PHQ too had prepared a list of the suspects, including some SPs, DSPs and SHOs, it had asked the CID sleuths to use their network in identifying more black sheep in the department, sources informed. The suspects were now under the CID scanner. "The CID has already started keeping a track on the phone calls they make to media persons and other acquaintances. While they leak the information to let down their rivals in the department, they actually defame the police force in the process," sources said. "After the CID prepares the list and submits it to the PHQ, some disciplinary action was likely to be initiated against the black sheep," the sources added.
