Jammu, Dec 16: The State Vigilance Commission taking adverse note of the case of alleged encroachment by big wig has ordered Dy Commissioner Jammu to furnish the report clarifying the factual status of the land viz. whether the land in question is a State land or a private property. While discussing a complaint lodged in the Vigilance Organization by namely Ankur Sharma against A G Kholi, Transport Minister Government of J&K, regarding alleged encroachment/grabbing of land, bearing Khasra No. 356, situated at Village Sunjwan in which some structures viz B N Educational Trust, ETT College, J&K Bank ATM etc have been raised, the SVC ordered Dy Commissioner Jammu to furnish the report clarifying the factual status of the land. Petitioner also had submitted that the SSP Vigilance had stated that reports had been called from different authorities and agencies in the matter during the course of Enquiry but, the reports received from the concerned are depicting variations and conflicting views, regarding Khasra numbers, boundaries etc. of the said land, even some reports are without any number and date. The Officer further stated that hitherto many requests have been made to the Dy Commissioner Jammu to get joint demarcation of the land in question alongwith officers of Vigilance, so that probe into the matter is concluded on its merits, but till date nothing has been done on these directions resulting in delaying of investigations. The Commission also asked the Vigilance Organization to furnish status report of the enquiry at the earliest and also directed SSP Vigilance Organization for personal appearance on next date of hearing. --(JNF) |
