Jammu, Dec 16: Two persons including an army jawan of 25 Mechanical Engineer were killed and one sustained injuries in two separate road mishaps at different places.
Police said an army jawan identified as Khammin Thang (25), son of Thang Samte, of Mechanincal Infantry was killed when the motorcycle he was riding collided with an unknown vehicle.
His body was shifted to the mortuary of the Government Medical College and Hospital (GMC&H).
Meanwhile, a youth was killed while other sustained injuries when the car they were travelling in collided with a truck at Sidhra.
The deceased has been identified as Rohit Sharma (21), son of Satpal Raina of Sunderbani, while identity of the injured has been established as Ashish Gupta (23), son of Raman Gupta of Rehari Colony.
Police said that the injured were shifted to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMC&H) where Rohit was declared as brought dead while Ashish was responding to the treatment when last reports came in. |
