MENDHAR, Dec 16: A couple sustained injuries after a group of people attacked them with stones here Wednesday evening.
Police sources said ambulance driver Shafqat Bashir, son of Mohammad Bashir of Gohlad, Mendhar, and his wife Nadeem Kausar were returning home after meeting their relatives in Dhargloon area in their Alto car (JK12/9454) when some people intercepted them.
Sources said as the couple reached near Modern Medical Hall, its owner Tahir Mehmood Khan and his three friends hurled stones on the vehicle and later thrashed the couple which resulted in serious injuries to both of them.
The injured couple was shifted to sub district hospital Mendhar for treatment, they said. "All the money and ornaments of the couple were snatched by the attackers," sources alleged. |
