Guv reviews security situation with top brass | | | Early Times Report Srinagar, Jan 11: Governor N. N Vohara Monday held high level meeting in civil Secretariat Jammu and took stock of the security situation in the state. According to the official sources, Governor N. N Vohra for the first time after imposition of governor rule, held high level review of security scenario and law and order with the top officials. This was the Governor's first visit to the Civil Secretariat after the state came under governor's rule as process of new government formation following the death of chief minister Mufti Mohammad Sayeed will take some time. Sources told early times that the meeting was attended by the Chief Secretary BR Sharma, Principal Secretary, Home Department RK Goyal and Director General of Police (DGP) K Rajendra Kumar. "The overall security and law and order situation was reviewed. The situation prevailing in the state especially in the valley was also discussed during the meeting," sources said. Sources said that the meeting also discussed various matters relating to border management, along the International Border (IB), Line of Control (LoC) and Line of Actual Control (LAC). Sources said that the governor also directed the security officials to maintain fool-proof security arrangements for the republic day celebrations in the state. |
