Coming events cast their shadows | Sat's elevation as BJP president spells doom for the party | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Jan 11: While the stalemate continues on the political front of Jammu and Kashmir, besides some grapevines, rumors and mostly hypothetical reporting on its state of affairs, one interesting theory based on casting of ominous shadows have overpowered the psyche of BJP as well PDP. The prophecy tellers have branded the new Bhartiya Janta Party president Sat Sharma as a person of ill-lucks whose position in BJP is all likely to bring doom to the party in 2016. "Immediately after his alleviation to the post of party president ship, its coalition partner lost its strongest leader in Mufti Mohammad Sayeed, the Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir. Besides, the situation has thrown the governance out of gear with political uncertainty starting to loom large," said a political critic close to the observations of state affairs. The political observer is also a renowned fortune-teller of the state who had earlier also prophesied for BJP to run into rough weathers immediately after the start of 2016. He did not wish to be named. The ministers, MLAs, MLCs as well as many of the BJP leaders have got their eyes and ears intent over such prophecy which they have started to believe are coming out true. "It is a fact that almost every political leader is quite superstitious. He/she doesn't forget to take up any political assignment without considering the auspicious date and time from the soothsayers. Party is likely to pay a heavy price for elevating Sat Sharma to the top post," said one of the top BJP minister. It is very much in context to state that Sat Sharma enjoys a very close proximity with senior BJP leader whose patronage helped him to rise to the position of BJP president, a party insider said. " Call it a myth or a mere coincidence of collateral events falling in place, but since Sat Sharma's occupying the post of state BJP president, Chief Minister Mufti Mohammad Sayeed's demise followed by stalemate in the state governance, All India Congress Committee president Sonia Gandhi and leader of Opposition in Rajya Sabha Ghulam Nabi Azad visiting Mehbooba and the PDP president demanding are certain facts which cannot be ignored," said a BJP MLA. Whatever could be concluded from the signals emanating from different quarters, the people of Jammu are of strong view that once BJP gets thrown out of power, the entire cadre would have to run in hordes after some pied piper to meet their waterloo from Jammu' milieu. |
