Sunderbani, Jan 11: The inquiry initiated by director education Jammu regarding the mismanagement in the mid-day meal scheme at Rajouri schools is still pending as the principal designed by the CEO Rajouri has either failed to take up the inquiry or allegedly shielding the corrupt.
The inquiry had come in the wake of a report filed in Early Times on 10/4/2015 under the caption head " Master-grade headmaster claims clout in ministry, gives damn to mid-day meal' .
Despite the director education's orders to do the required, the principal Pradeep Sharma turns out to be a reluctant man who either roughs up at media or gives a manipulated answer.
When asked as to why he had not reached the spot to initiate enquiry, comes a very derogatory answer--- " Maine kya school ki deewaren chatne jana hai ( Do I have to go to lick the walls of the school).
It is learnt that Principal Pradeep Sharma, in order to gel his loyalty with the headmaster in charge of the middle school Nhoti and instead called cook Kali Dass and in charge cook for questioning .
When asked what course has his inquiry shaped up so far, Pardeep first said , it is completed and later denied saying that it is midway. CEO Rajouri Mohammad Altaf however assured action. " You bring this complaint in written to me and will take up the matter to concerned logic," said Altaf.
The mid day meal scam had come into light when a cook of Middle School Nahoti reached media with an urgent complaint on the issue which he said was not being addressed at proper forum due to his superiors' alleged connections with the high-ups in the department and the ministry.
Kali Dass, the cook who has been rendering his services to the mid-day meal to be provided to nearly 20 children of middle school Nohoti alleged that he has been kept under the continuous threat of a teacher and master grade headmaster of the school to cook the food of their choice only while ignoring the scheduled menu as decided by the authorities.
Besides he alleged that both the teacher and the master-grade headmaster also made him to buy lesser stock of the food to be served and used to siphon off the money from the deal.
It is pertinent to mention here that the teacher Satish Kumar Sharma and the master-grade headmaster Isher Dass have made Middle school Nohoti as their forte and do not heed to any problems. The master-grade headmaster Isher Dass had even gone to the extent saying, " I damn care for any ZEO or CEO. I have the commissioner secretary links and even have a clout in the ministry. Nobody can dare threat me and even you are a small fry to challenge my stature". |
