Pak-sponsored terror outfits using cross-border smugglers to carry attacks | Pathankot terror attack | | Asif Iqbal Naik Early Times Report
Kishtwar, Jan 11: As a part of its new strategy, the Pakistan based terror outfits are using the vast network of cross boarder smugglers involved in smuggling of drugs and gold into Punjab to carry out attacks on vital installations in India. In the Pathankot Airbase attack also, they are have utilised the smugglers' services, according to intelligence sources. Sources informed "Early Times" that in a well coordinated plan, various terror outfits stationed in Pakistan and Pakistan occupied Kashmir had joined hands to open new front of terror attack in Punjab and the neighboring state of Jammu and Kashmir after security forces guarding the boarders in J&K had made the infiltration difficult. Sources said that infamous Pakistani spy agency ISI was using all its efforts to destabilize peace in India for which it had done a long exercise to bring various terror outfits on same page with the common aim to create terror and blood bath in India. These militant outfits hold the responsibility of motivating youths, providing them weapons, training them, arranging finance for them, launching them into India and then making claims of attacks by these terrorists on vital Indian installations. Sources said during the investigation of Pathankot terror attack by National Investigating Agency as well as by India's top most agencies, it had come to fore that January 2, 2016 Pathankot terror attack was the handiwork of Pak based militant organizations and the local drug/gold smugglers. Sources said that ISI instead of providing cash payments to these smugglers, provide 1 to 2 kg of Heroine or brown sugar to these drug smugglers which could easily fetch them Rs 5 to 10 cr in the drug market as supply of cash in crores in exchange of help could be a difficult task compared to drugs which is easy to carry as well as easy to hide. Sources said that drug mafia network in Punjab had deep roots in political circles as well and ISI is encashing such influence of these drug smugglers and added that similar links had also been established by the ISI with gold smugglers active in boarder areas of Punjab. Sources said that the ISI muck within the drug racket was deep necked which required to be probed deeply and added that the changing statements of SP of Punjab police were also suspicious. It was, however, premature to say whether the SP was aware about the facts that the 'persons' from Pakistan were actually terrorists or smugglers. His lie-detector test would possibly help the intelligence agencies to ascertain more facts behind the Pathankot terror attack. |
