SUNDERBANI, Jan 11: The death Anniversary of Martyr Nk. Om Raj was observed today at Rah Salyote, Sunderbani. The Nk. Om Raj has lost his life in 2006 at Poonch sector during an anti-inssurgency operation launched against militants. During the gunfight, Om Raj shot down three dreaded militants. He was also posthumously awarded with Sena Medal for his act of bravery.
On the occasion, the relatives and family members of martyr said that they are proud that Om Raj laid down his for motherland.
Sub. Sham lal, Ex-Captain Dolat Ram, Anant Ram, Vijay Sharma, Pappu Shah and several others were present to pay homage to the braveheart soldier. |
