| ARTO seizes two Buses, realizes Rs 7500 fine | | | Early times report
Udhampur, Jan 11: On the directions of Transport Commissioner, Parvaiz Iqbal Khateeb and DDC Udhampur, Dr Shahid Iqbal Choudhary, Motor Vehicle Department (MVD) Udhampur sleuths under the active supervision of ARTO Udhampur Rajesh Gupta raised a surprise Naka at Jakhani Chowk Udhampur and seized two buses for violating the MVA norms and an amount of Rs 7500 was also realized as fine, on spot.
According to official spokesperson, the ARTO sleuths laid the nakak at around 5:00am to check the violations of Motor Vehicle Act (MVA) as well as to keep check on transportation of goods by the Passenger vehicles.
"During checking, the Assistant Regional Transport Officer Udhampur, Rajesh Gupta seized two buses and challaned two buses for violating the MVA norms and realized fine of Rs 7500/- on spot, he added.
ARTO Rajesh Gupta warned the commuters to strictly adhere with the rules and regulations of MVA and added that the strict action would be taken against the defaulters.
On this occasion ARTOP Udhampur asked the drivers and conductors of the passenger vehicles to bear uniforms during passenger transportation and not to carry goods in the passenger vehicles. |
