Katra, Jan 11: In its intensive drive against drug peddlers and bootlegger active in holy town, Katra police today arrested one drug peddler and recovered 120 gms of Charas (Cannabis) during a naka checking in Katra.
The police said, "The accused has been identified as Partap Singh s/o Shiv Ram r/o Dhansal Arnas."
"On specific input police party of P/S Katra led by ASI Puran Chand of P/S Katra, under the supervision Sub Inspector Mohd Ashraf, I/C P/S Katra, Dr Ashok Sharma, SDPO Katra, Sumir Kotwal, Addl SP Katra and overall supervision of Sujit Kumar, SSP Reasi, laid a special naka at Banganga Katra," Police said.
Police said, "During checking /frisking, the Police Party has recovered/seized 120 gms Charas from the possession of a drugs peddler Partap Singh of Dhansal Arnas.
The accused person was arrested on the spot and a case in this connection under FIR No 08/2016 u/s 8/20 NDPS Act stands registered at P/S Katra and investigations are on. |
