| JMC removes encroachment | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Jan 11: Continuing drive against the encroachments, the Enforcement Staff of Jammu Municipal Corporation under instructions from Mandeep Kaur Commissioner Jammu Municipal Corporation demolished the wall and gate erected by Abdul Karim son of Ghulam Mohammad Salaria by encroaching upon part of lane and drain at New Mohinder Nagar, Jammu.
The said encroachment had led to the over spilling of drain water into the lane causing the insanitary conditions there against which the residents of the locality had protested and complained to the Municipal Commissioner. Acting swiftly on the complaint the encroachment was removed by pressing the men and machinery into service and cleared the drain thereby making the drain water flow smoothly. The Municipal Commissioner has further instructed the Engineer Wing of Jammu Municipal Corporation to prepare a comprehensive plan for the construction of lane & drain of the area so that the sanitation problem faced by the localities can be solved permanently.
The timely action taken by the Municipal Commissioner in the matter has been hailed and appreciated by the residents of the locality to redress their grievances. |
