| People demands construction of Khellani-Pul | | |

Doda, Jan 11: People of Paryote, Khellani-Pul Doda demanded construction of proposed Khellani-Pul Doda road via Galginder.
A large number of people from Paryote, Khellani, Sarsi, Trown, Dharara and adjoining villages along with the panchayat members, sarpanchs and members of various socio-cultural and religious organisations attended the meeting. They alleged that the existing road from Khalleni to Pull Doda is risky and not safe for the traffic. They said road constructed by the GREF has not been constructed as per the survey due to pressure of immediate realignment.
The proposed alignment has been changed and the faulty zigs have been constructed. People alleged that the construction of this road was hampered due to the clearance from forest department and the construction agency was asked to immediately realign it from Km 7.3 (zig No 1) to Km 8 (zig No 5) falling in Bhaderwah forest division vide no 9872-75 Dated 16.09.2013. |
