Gunshots fired in broad day light in Janipur, Bari Brahmana | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Jan 11: In an old rivalry over a piece of land, unidentified gunmen opened fires during broad daylight on the vehicle of the two car-borne brothers in Janipur area here today. As per sources, the Scorpio Car (JK02BC-5684) of Jaspreet Singh alias Tina son of Kulwant Singh and Gagandeep Singh son of Amarjeet Singh of Nanak Nagar was attacked by two gunmen near Talli Morh, Janipur at around 12 pm today. "Both Jaspreet Singh and Gagandeep Singh were coming from High Court side when they were attacked near Talli Morh", sources said. According to sources no one has injured in the attack. "Even the vehicle did not suffer any damage", they said. They said two fires were shot by the gunmen on the car-borne brothers from pistol and the reason of the attack could be an old rivalry. "Gandhi Nagar Police has already registered an FIR against the brothers who were attacked today for firing at two persons namely Shotu and Gurmukh Singh alias Jambo. So it might be possible that Shotu and Jambo had fired in revenge today", said sources. Police is raiding different locations of the city but no arrest has been made till the last report came in, sources said. Police have lodged case under relevant sections against the unknown gunmen. Meanwhile another firing incident reported at Birpur area fall under jurisdiction of Bari Brahmana Police Station. Police sources said that one Majid Ahmed opened fire with his licence gun after a group of eight persons approached him and claimed that the piece of land he was fencing was infact belonged to them. However, no casualty is reported in the incident, said a police officer, adding a case in this connection stood registered with the Bari Brahmana Police Station. |
