KPs remember Late 'Mufti Sayeed's' role in restoring peace in J&K

Jagti (Jammu), Jan 20: Peoples Democratic Party's (PDP) Migrant Cell today paid rich tributes to patron PDP and chief minister of state late Mufti Mohammad Sayeed. In a special convened condolence meeting held at Jagti in which party leaders and activists said that late Mufti Sayeed would be remembered as crusader of peace, who had worked for restoring lasting and sustainable peace in the sub-continent.
While recalling contribution of late Mufti Sayeed in the political spheres of Jammu and Kashmir, speakers said that the former Chief Minister would be remembered as crusader of peace, who throughout his life had worked for restoring lasting and sustainable peace in the sub-continent.
Paying rich tributes, the speakers described 'Mufti Sayeed' as statesman and distinguished leaders, whose contribution towards development, political stability and peace and reconciliation will always be remembered in the days to come.
Speakers also mentioned that Mufti Sahib through this foresightedness and visionary policies had changed political discourse of J&K and his death created a void - which is impossible to fill. They said that it was desire of Mufti Sahib to make Jammu and Kashmir as an Island of Peace where every individual will get equal opportunity of growth and development.
All the speakers prayed for an eternal peace to the departed soul and courage to the bereaved family to bear this irreparable loss and also extended their heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family.
While expressing their heartfelt condolences to party president Mehbooba Mufti, the speakers, said that all workers and leaders are with party president at this hour of grief and sorrow.
State Secretary Jatinder Bhat, M K Dhar, Ramesh Koul, R K Pardesi, S K Raina, Sunil Bhat, Ramesh (Jagati) and many others also offered their tributes to late leader.
