Udhampur, Feb 29: Udhampur police today apprehended one bootlegger and recovered fifty five pouches of illicit liquor from his possession during a naka at Jib, under the jurisdiction of Police Station, Rehambal of Udhampur district. "The accused has been identified as Chunni Lal son of Deas Raj of Jib Majalta of Udhampur district, police sources said. "Based on reliable information, a police party from Police Station Rehambal, laid a naka at jib link road and apprehended Chunni Lal of Jib Majalta. "During thorough search of his belongings police recovered 55 pouches of J&K Excise Liquor (250/250 ml each) police party which were seized and accused were arrested on the spot," police said, A case under FIR No 23/16 u/s 48A Ex Act registered in Police Station Rehambal and further investigation going on. |
