ADC Ramban thrashes driver Height of arrogance 2/29/2016 11:54:54 PM Early Times Report ramban, Feb 29: The Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Ramban on Monday thrashed a tempo driver in full public view. According to eyewitness, the ADC Ramban was on the way to his office when his official vehicle bearing registration no. JK20-8299 hit on back side of tempo (bearing registration no JK02V-3126) and immediately after damaging the tempo, ADC came out of his vehicle and thrashed the driver. While taking to the media tempo driver Taranjeet Singh said that the ADC’s vehicle hit his vehicle and beat him without any fault. Locals alleged that this incident clearly shows that how an administrator who is supposed to maintain law and order has himself break it for covering his own fault and misusing the powers. They demanded stern action against the ADC and justice for the victim. Furthermore, on his directions the police officials seized the tempo. Later after intervention to media and locals the police released the vehicle, but the documents of his vehicle is still under the custody of the Police Station Ramban. SHO Ramban Pardeep Kumar Sharma said the vehicle was brought to police station since it was a "minor accident" the vehicle was released after some time. However, sources asserted that the documents of vehicle are still lying with police station. When contacted DC Ramban Bashir Ahmed Dar said that he was not aware about it.
