Vohra seeks 3 more advisors 2/29/2016 11:34:03 PM Early Times Report Srinagar, Feb 29: Jammu and Kashmir Governor NN Vohra has reportedly sought permission from New Delhi to allow him to appoint three more advisors to run the state administration smoothly and on fast track basis. Reliable sources informed that there are minimal chances of Government formation in the State. The move of the Governor has made political experts believe that there is no consensus between PDP and BJP over government formation. For the functioning of the administration and State in general Governor NN Vohra has already sought the services of advisers, retired Indian Administrative Service officers Pervez Devan and Khursheed Ganai, Chief Secretary BR Sharma and financial Commissioner BB Viyas. If reliable sources are to be believed, Governor NN Vohara is in touch with New Delhi for the appointment of three more advisors. Sources said that three former Chief Secretaries including SS Bloria, C.Phunsung and Muhammad Shafi Pandit are well in the race and they are likely to be asked to serve the State. By taking some major decisions from past few weeks, Governor NN Vohra has given an indication that Central Rule will continue in the State. After Urban Local Bodies (ULBs), Governor NN Vohra recently announced holding of Panchayat elections in Jammu and Kashmir on due time in June-July by clearing major formality of approving amendments in the Panchayati Raj Act under which Chief Electoral Officer (CEO), J&K, Shantmanu was designated as the State Election Commission for holding elections. In another major decision, Governor also confirmed the services of hundreds of daily rated workers besides taking a decision to provide relief to flood hit victims including traders. Governor NN Vohra according to reports attends the Civil Secretariat regularly and is busy in keeping officials on tenterhooks.
