PWD left drain work halfway, residents seek Governor's intervention

Jammu, Feb 29: The inhabitants of Laxmipuram, Chinore, Jammu appealed the Governor of J&K State to personally intervene into the matter for early redressal of the long pending grievances of the inhabitants of the area.
The inhabitants of the area said that the Department of R&B have constructed Drains in Laxmipuram-Sector-B-2 from Modern Secular Institute of Education Laxmipuram, without proper planning and left the work halfway for the reason not known.
About 300 mts down the Modern Secular Institute of Education lot of dirty water has got blocked in way as a result the public of the area is facing a lot of inconvenience, concerned MLA's marked letter also attached.
It was also requested upon the governor that direct the concerned R&B officials to visit on spot; asses the position and take immediate remedial steps to complete the left over work at the earliest so that problems of the inhabitants are ventilated.
The residents of the area have also expressed their concern over erratic supply of drinking water as the supply which is made to the area on alternate days for a short period of half an hour is not sufficient enough to last for three days or up to the next supply.
