MDF stages protest, condemns police action against Gujjars 2/29/2016 10:47:24 PM Early Times Report Jammu, Feb 29: A large number of members of Muslim community under the banner of Muslim Development Forum (MDF) J&K, today staged a protest demonstration at Jamia Masjid Talab Khatikan Jammu. The Protest was held to express resentment on the alleged discriminatory and selective victimization of the poor Muslims belonging to Gujjar Community in Sorore area of Samba on February 22, in which a poor Gujjar youth was killed during Gujjars- Police Clash. While addressing the gathering Syed Shabir Ahmed Shah President MDF (J&K) condemned the incident and said that the unwarranted firing is a conspiracy against the Gujjar to evict them from their land which is in their possession since the last four decades. Syed Shabir appealed the Governor J&K State to order an inquiry in the incident and finally demanded judicial probe into the Soreor killing and demanded action against the erring police officers.
