Army organizes plantation drive 2/29/2016 11:23:07 PM Ramban, Feb 29: As a symbolic gesture a tree plantation drive was carried out by Rashtriya Rifles Battalion based at Nachlana under the aegis of Delta Force at Mohu Mangat area of tehsil Banihal under district Ramban with the help of forest department, today. Movement towards a deeper commitment to environmental protection through planting new trees and taking care of exciting ones is fortunately increasing all over the world. Over 150 fruits bearing saplings were planted by army along with school children and locals. The children and locals were also educated about the importance of tree plantation linking it to global weather patterns and maintenance of crucial balance in the nature. The children has also been motivated to take care and protect the respective plants they have planted as they grow which will give them a sense of achievement over a period of time.
