Two bovine smuggling bids foiled, three held | | | Early Times Report
Sunderbani, Mar 16: Police today arrested three bovine smugglers and rescued six bovine animals during separate naka checking in Rajouri district here today "The accused have been identified as Bashir Ahmed s/o Wali Mohd r/o Channi, Sunderbani, Mohd Akram s/o Muneer Hussain r/o Channi, Sunderbani and Rayaz Ahmed s/o Mohd Aslam r/o Dharamsal, police spokesperson said. Police spokesperson said, "As a part of drive against menace of Bovine smuggling, Sunderbani Police led by SHO P/S Sunderbani Inspr Narinder Singh Jamwal under the supervision of Addl SP Nowshera Atul Sharma, on intervening night of March 15/16. "On specific information during naka checking near ITI Sunderbani , police intercepted a TATA Mobile bearing registration No.JK11A-2787 and found two bovine animals loaded in it, Police seized the vehicle and arrested one bovine smuggler namely Bashir Ahmed of Sunderbani for failing to produce requisiste documents for transporting animals. In this connection, Case FIR No.13/2016 U/S 188 RPC, 3 PCA has been registered at P/S Sunderbani and investigation going on. Similarly, Station House Officer (SHO) P/S Kalakote inspector Parmod Singh Bajju under the supervision of additional superintendent of police (ASP) Nowshera Atul Sharma, on a specific information laid nakas/checking at different location near Kalakote on March 15/16. "Police seized two TATA Mobiles bearing registration No.JK02AP-0649 and JK02AP-4403 and rescued four bovine animals from Mohd Akram of Channi, Sunderbani and Rayaz Ahmed of Dharamsal who were arrested on the spot Cases under FIR Nos. 16/2016 and 17/2016 U/S 188 RPC stand registered at P/S Kalakote agisnt the accused and investigations are on. |
