Srinagar, Mar 16: Parallel to the tall claims of answerability in education Department goes favoritism as two influential teachers after their Transfer joined new posting for a 'single day in Seven months' while third teacher 'never joined' new posting in the same period.
Important documents accessed by Early Times expose the tall claims of answerability of former PDP Minister for Education in which two influential female teachers after their transfer from Srinagar to central District Budgam joined new postings for a 'single day' in seven months while a third teacher after her transfer 'never joined' new posting in the same period.
Official document vide no 113/BMSA/2015 of Government Middle School Almgushoo of Central District Budgam in reply to a query mentions that one female teacher Arifa Jabeen posted as Head of School on 18-08-2015 joined school only for a single day on 02-03-2016.
Another document vide reference number G/G/M/S/M/55 of the office of Government girls middle School Mashoom,zone Hardupanzoo Budgam in reply to a query mentions that the Head of School namely Qayoomah Jan joined this School only once on 02/03/2016 since her posting in the school on 18/03/2015.
In another what can be a surprising case official document vide no G/M/S/D/HM/149 accessed by Early Times reveal that one female teacher Fehmmeda Bano posted as head of the school according to sources some seven months back till date never joined her new posting and the school is functioning without a head teacher.
All the three teachers according to sources were transferred from Srinagar to Budgam District during the tenure of former PDP Minister for education in August 2015.
However according to sources two out of three of these influential teachers throwing rules to winds joined their new postings only on specific dates already mentioned while third one never joined her new posting and then Minister for Education chanting tall claims of answerability in his department never dared to take any action against them.
Locals of these areas in Budgam District told Early Times that seeing hue and cry of 'answerability' in education department during previous PDP-BJP government they shot complaint letters to concerned Education officers of Budgam on many times to take action against teachers denying to attend their new postings.
However according to locals neither any action was ever taken against anybody found involved in violating norms then and nor are concerned authorities since May 2013 till date posting Head teachers for these schools.
Sources said that these are not only three cases in which teachers are denying to perform their duties in Far-flung areas of Kashmir after they were transferred from urban areas during previous PDP-BJP government.
Reports of favoritism in transfer had surfaced last year also in education department after rationalization method was introduced by then PDP Minister for Education.
Despite repeated attempts no contact could be made with concerned higher ups of the education department. |
