For Sports Council, Mufti is still CM! | | | GS Asgotra
Early Times Report
Jammu, Mar 16: Mufti Mohammad Sayeed died more than two months ago, but he is still Chief Minister of J&K if one visits the website of State Sports Council. Moreover, despite the fact that there's no elected government in place in the state, former Minister for Youth Services and Sports in BJP-PDP coalition, Imran Raza Ansari, is still shown as minister and vice president of the Council on the website. Though the Chief Minister is de-facto president of Council and Minister for Youth Services and Sports is vice president, due to absence of elected government and imposition of Governor rule, the information must be updated by Council, which it has not. Notwithstanding the fact that after the imposition of Governor rule in state, many departments were criticized for outdated information which were showing former ministers on their official web pages but after the issue came to fore all the information was deleted by departments but JKSSC is still in hibernation. "In the age of information technology when Prime Minister Narendra Modi has been emphasizing on use of e-technology and online communication these department officials have made mockery and are least bothered about updated information", an activist said. He further said that JKSSC was not an isolated government department but there are many which are least bothered about repeated directions and recommendations of government to update the information. |
