Contractor running thana, working as SHO's agent 8 Proceeds thus collected are shared by both of them 3/16/2016 11:46:10 PM Early Times Report Jammu, Mar 16: A contractor is alleged to be working as agent of police station SHO in north Jammu as and has been finalising all 'unlawful' deals on his behalf. The proceeds thus collected are shared by both of them. The contractor himself has served as SI in police department. However, he had later resigned and started doing the work of contractor. The SHO is among his acquaintances in police department. Police sources said soon after the SHO was posted as head of police station in north Jammu, the contractor developed an understanding with him and started finalising all the illegal deals on his behalf. Instead of calling on the SHO, people were meeting the contractor to get their works done. "The contractor takes service charges from these people for doing their works. The SHO promptly does all his works without even objecting to their illegal nature," sources alleged. "In the evening, they meet at a place and share the proceeds," sources alleged and said, "The contractor spends most of time with the SHO and the latter's subordinates salute him whenever he visits the police station." The SHO enjoys blessings of a senior police officer who, however, seems to be unaware of his 'unlawful' acts.
