Sarpanch creates ruckus in BDO's office
Demands extra money for incomplete Panchayat Ghar

Mendhar, Mar 16: Office of Block Development Officer Balakote witnessed ruckus today which was created by Sarpanch of lower Dhargloom Panchayat and his supporters for denial of releasing extra money for incomplete Panchayat Ghar by the BDO whose construction was incomplete since the last 5 years, the sources said. Sources said Lower Dhargloom Sarpanch Shabir Ahmed Khan came in the office of BDO Balakote Abdul Rashid and demanded an amount of Rs. 2.5 lakh for the under construction Panchayat Ghar in Lower Dhargloom as the work of Panchayat Ghar has been in complete for the last 5 years.
The BDO out rightly denied to give any further funds for the Panchayat Ghar as already Rs. 17 lakh has been released for the same earlier BDO said adding that an amount of Rs. 88000 has released extra but the move of Panchayat ghar has not been completed till now. The said no money will be released henceforth for Panchayat Ghar.
Irked over the utterances of BDO, Sarpanch alongwith his supporters started uproar in the BDO's office, his supporter started uproar in the BDO's office and blamed him and his officials for corrupt practices. They ransacked the office furniture and the high voltage drama continued for nearly two hours. The sarpanch and his supporters even made hostage the BDO and his few employees in his office room for some time by locking out the main door. They also pelted stones at the office which created a law and order situation there for some time. Meanwhile BDO somehow managed to give a call to SHO Gursai Mohd Amin who came along with his personnel and informed SDPO Shahid Naeem who also reached the spot.
When contacted SHO Gursai Mohd. Amin told Early Times that he had received a written complaint from Block Development Officer Abdul Rashid and an action will be initiated according to law in the matter.
