Two bovine smugglers held, 6 animals rescued

Udhampur, Mar 16: Police today foiled a bovine smuggling bid and rescued six (06) bovine animals with the arrest of two persons and seizure of one Tata Mobile during naka checking at Jakhani National Highway Udhampur.
Police spokesperson said that the accused have been identified as Deniya Men s/o Fazal Din of Kagan Ramban and Mohd Latif s/o Gulam Hader of village Sunari Udhampur.
"On specific information, police team from Police Station Udhampur laid a naka under the supervision of Inspector O P Chib SHO PS Udhampur and intercepted one Tata Mobile bearing registration number JK02W-1808 on its way towards Kashmir, police spokesperson said.
Police spokesperson said, "During the thorough search, the vehicles found loaded six bovine animals were rescued vehicle seized and two bovine smugglers namely Deniya Men and Mohd Latif.
"A case under FIR Number 88/16 under Section 188/RPC and 3 PCA Act has been registered at Police Station Udhampur further investigation of the case is going on, he added.
