Students science conference inaugurated at GDC Ramnagar 3/16/2016 10:57:34 PM Early Times Report RAMNAGAR, Mar 16: Govt. Degree college Ramnagar today inaugurated a two day long students science conference in which the Principal Prof. K.S was the chief guest. The function which had two sessions started with the floral welcome of the Chief Guest by Prof. Brinder Singh and other dignitaries. It was followed by lightening of the Traditional Lamp by the Chief Guest along with Principal of the College, senior staff and the other dignitaries. Post to this, the students of the college presented the Saraswati Vandana. After the invocation to the Goddess of Knowledge. The Principal of the College Prof. Tara Nath formally welcomed all the guests to the program in the College and expressed his gratitude towards the chief guest and others to spare their valuable time. The keynote address of the Conference was presented in a very scholarly and immaculate manner by the Convener Prof. Satish Kumar in which he elaborated in detail about all the themes and fields of Science like Biodiversity, Global Warming and Climate Change, Green Chemistry, and Role of information and communication technology in day-to-day life, which would remain in the focus of the deliberations of the participants. In the first part there was a seminar competition while in the second part there was poster presentation on the afore mentioned topics by the students of GHSS Ramnagar and GDC Ramnagar in which students of GHSS Ramnagar and GDC Ramnagar presented posters on various themes. At the end the results of the Seminar were declared as: Sakul Kharka, Pratiksha and Riya Kalsotra were adjudged 1st, 2nd and 3rd. Sunidhi and Kumar Sakhsham got consolation prize. In the Poster making and presentation: Rutvi from GDC Ramnagar, Pratiksha from GHSS Ramnmagar, and Raman from GHSS Ramnagar bagged 1st, 2nd and 3rd prize, whereas Pooja Sharma GHSS Ramnagar and Mokshi GDC Ramnagar bagged consolation prizes. The Event was judged by Mosmi Chowdhari, Monika Sharma and Sanjana Mahajan. In the end the Principal of the college along with Convener and Senior staff felicitated the Chief Guest, Chairperson and Co-chairpersons of the Sessions.
