Early Times Report JAMMU, Mar 16: A two days interactive Seminar on Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) was organized at the Model Institute of Engineering and Technology, Kot Bhalwal, Jammu. Dr T Rama Krishna, Prof of Law and Head Center for IPR Research & Advocacy, National Law School of India University, Bangalore , Dr RK Raina Consultant Indian Institute of Integrative Medicines, Jammu and Dr Vijay Koul from MIET were the resource persons. The Seminar was attended by near 150 MBA, MCA & BE students and Faculty, who were the potential Start ups & Research scholars. During the seminar the participants were sensitized about the provisions of law pertaining to Patents, Copy rights, Trade Mark, Trade Secret, Industrial Design, Geographic indicators, its enforcement & Infringement. Virinder Sharma, Director MSME DI, welcomed the guests and thanked Model Institute of Engineering & Technology for their proactive support in organizing such technical events. Dr Ankur Gupta, Director MIET emphasized the importance of Intellectual Property Rights and asked the students and Faculty to participate in research work and file patents for the novel ideas. Dr Parul Sharma anchored the event and towards the end Prof Brig PN Sharma gave Vote of Thanks. |
