Newly appointed teachers still deprived postings, salary for six months | | | Early Times Report
doda, Mar 16: Believe it or not the newly appointed general line teachers in district Doda who were adjusted as surplus category in various schools across the district yet have been deprived of their due salaries for the last six months. According to sources, the teachers who have been adjusted as surplus on need basis by the then Chief Education Officer (CEO) Doda Ajit Kumar Sharma now are facing undue humiliation and harassment as their salary for the last six months yet has not been released till date. "The salary of these teachers has not been drawn because they are working without post and the department is least concerned in this regard, sources added. Talking to the media persons, the aggrieved teachers lamented that that they have approached the concerned authorities a number of times but except assurances to resolve the issue within ten days they have not got anything till date. They added that they do not know why they have been adjusted in such institutions without vacant posts but it was not their fault why they have been deprived of their salaries is also a thing to wonder." They claimed that about ninety teachers are working as surplus in various schools of Doda district including HSS Chakrabhati, H S Hanch, HS Dhara , HS sharerna, HS Koti, HS Chatra, Hs Ghuraka. They have demanded early release of the pending salary and urged the concerned authorities to adjust them against available vacant posts so that they may not suffer any more. |
