Rs 324.10 crore disbursed for flood damaged houses

JAMMU, Mar 16: As directed by Governor N.N. Vohra, the Deputy Commissioners of the concerned districts have disbursed an amount of Rs. 324.10 crore in 29435 cases of flood damaged houses under the Prime Minister's Development Plan-2015 (PMDP).
As per the details, disbursement has been done to the tune of Rs.1.43 crore to 536 cases in Ramban district; Rs.2.36 crore to 814 cases in Doda district; Rs. 7.28 crore to 1251 cases in Shopian district; Rs.19.09 core to 3275 cases in Kulgam district; Rs.195.29 crore to 10470 cases in Srinagar district; Rs. 0.8 crore to 406 cases in Ganderbal district; Rs. 21.67 to 881 cases in Budgam district; Rs.48.94 crore to 9474 cases in Anantnag district; Rs 9.63 crore to 1079 cases in Bandipora; and Rs.17.61 crore to 1249 cases in Baramulla district.
The State Government has released an additional grant of Rs. 279 crore for disbursement under PMDP to the Deputy Commissioners as per the following details: Srinagar district Rs. 234 crore; Budgam district Rs.39 crore, and Udhampur district Rs 6 crore.
As of 16th March cumulative funds to the tune of Rs. 967.13 crore have been released, as per following details: Srinagar district Rs. 468.16 crore; Samba district Rs.2.35 crore; Ganderbal district Rs.0.81 crore; Budgam district Rs. 78.12 crore; Pulwama district Rs.55.87 crore; Anantnag district Rs. 96.94 crore; Bandipora district Rs.33.66 crore; Baramulla district Rs.35.11 crore; Rajouri district Rs. 44.63 crore; Udhampur district Rs. 12.97 crore; Ramban district Rs.7.53 crore; Kishtwar district Rs. 2.38; Doda district Rs.3.03 crore; Shopian district Rs. 7.27 crore; Kupwara district Rs.0.20 crore; and Kulgam district Rs.19.08 crore; Jammu district Rs. 47.13 crore; Reasi district Rs. 26.65 crore; Kathua district Rs. 4.3 crore; and Poonch district Rs. 20.79 crore.
The financial assistance is being transferred by the Deputy Commissioners directly into the bank accounts of the beneficiaries through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT).
The Raj Bhawan spokesperson recalled that in the State Administrative Council meeting chaired by Governor on 25-02-2016 it had been decided to utilize the Rs.1194 crore grant for providing financial assistance under the Prime Minister's Development Plan-2015 at the scale of Rs.2.50 lac for fully damaged pucca house, Rs.1.25 lac for severely damaged pucca house, Rs.1.00 lac for fully damaged kacha house, Rs.0.50 lac for severely damaged kacha house, Rs.0.20 lac for partially damaged pucca house and Rs.0.10 lac for partially damaged kacha house.
