Jammu, June 9: India's leading commercial vehicle manufacturer - Ashok Leyland today launched two new Trucks i.e. the 14 Wheeler U3718il and the 2518il Truck in a product launching ceremony held at Hotel Ritz Mannor, Channi Himmat, Jammu.
Anil Dhingra - Regional Manager, Ashok Leyland was Chief Guest while Danish Rana - Inspector general of Police (IGP) Jammu attended the occasion as Guest of Honour.
In his address chief guest Anil Dingra Regional Manager, Ashok Leyland said that a completely new platform for transporters and logistics firms is launched with formal; launch of the two products from company, "The 14 wheeler U3718il comes with a payload capacity of appx. 27 Tones, six tons higher than the famous Ashok Leyland model 3118il also known as the 12 wheeler which is also a market leader in Jammu, he added.
He said, "This Ashok Leyland U3718il truck comes loaded with a factory built Cabin, a 9 speed - Heavy Duty Gear Box, Lift axle as a standard option, it also possesses the owner friendly cost effective in-line fuel pump."
"With the expansion & upgradation of the Indian Road network it is now possible and feasible to operate vehicles with Higher Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW), he said, adding, "Ashok Leyland enjoys a Market Share of almost 80% in the 37 Tonner Category across the nation.
He also added that with the addition of PAL Sales & Service (P) Ltd. as their new dealer in the state M/s Luthra Group through their sister concerns PAL Engineers and Pal Infrastructure Solutions, the company expects the sales to even improve further.
A large number of transporters and owners of Ashok Leyland vehicles were also present on this product launch occasion. |
