BJP ministers to complain against own MLAs

Early Times Report
JAMMU, June 9: Embarrassed over vociferous protests by the own party MLAs against the failures of State Government, the senior BJP ministers are contemplating to approach the party high command for lodging a complaint against these legislators.
Instead of sensing gravity of the resentment among public, which is forcing the BJP Legislators to resort to protests against their own Government, the party ministers are learnt to have decided for filing complaint of indiscipline before the high command.
A day after BJP MLA Sukhnandan Choudhary staged a walk out from the House in protest against no reply of his question, the ruling PDP-BJP once again faced humiliating situation this morning when some saffron party MLAs walked into the Well and a few staged walk out from the lower house. As the Question Hour was going on, Kathua MLA Rajiv Jasrotia stood from his seat and lashed out at own Government for failing to establish a sports stadium in his area. He was joined by other BJP MLAs and some of them even staged walk out from the house.
Taking advantage of the situation, NC and Congress MLAs also came forward in support of Rajiv Jasrotia thus creating an embarrassment for the coalition Government. Jasrotia even threatened to bring privilege motion against his own party MoS Sunil Kumar Sharma.
Even as Deputy Chief Minister sought to pacify his and opposition members that PDP-BJP government will do the pending works once funds for the same are released, his response could not satisfy the Kathua MLA who later staged walk out to the much excitement of Opposition.
According to the sources in BJP circles, the vociferous protests of the party MLAs are outcome of their frustration due to extremely poor performance of the own ministers, who have developed a distance from the workers and general public. All the BJP ministers remain surrounded by a coterie of vested interests who present them rosy picture of the prevailing situation notwithstanding widespread protests for water, power, ration etc in Jammu, said a party leader on the condition of anonymity.
Further, instead of addressing the public grievances, some BJP ministers are resorting to pressure tactics through Police and Media houses. And now when own party MLAs are staging walkout from the House against failures of the Government, sources said that senior BJP ministers are planning to complaint the party high command against this embarrassment, instead of sensing gravity of the resentment against them.
