Early Times Report NEW DELHI, June 9: After imposition of undeclared ban on ABVP to conduct any activity in educational institutions of J&K, RSS has been listed in the category of unlawful organizations. And, more shockingly, RSS has been listed as unlawful organization in the form of the Custom Department, which is under the control of Union Government. According to report, a candidate from Rajasthan, which is being ruled by BJP, got selected in the Custom Department and his first posting is at Goa, which is also ruled by BJP. The Custom Department has sought an affidavit from the selected candidate. Among other conditions, the selected candidate was asked to clarify whether he is associated with RSS or an other unlawful organization. Custom Department, which is a central government department, has mentioned RSS as an unlawful organization despite the fact that most of the former RSS leaders are running the government at the Centre. Facing embarrassment after this question being asked from a candidate selected in the central government department, most of the BJP leaders have maintained a silence on this issue. Media has put question on BJP leaders whether like Congress, their government too treat RSS as an unlawful organization. During Congress government unofficial ban was imposed on government servant to associate with RSS and other Hindu organisations but even after passing of two years in the government, the present BJP government has failed to get such orders revoked. Earlier a controversy was created in J&K when authorities have imposed undeclared ban on ABVP, student wing of RSS. |
