Sumit Sharma Early Times Report Jammu, June 9: Two government doctors are under scanner after they were allegedly found operating a patient in a private nursing home during office hours. The revelation was made after the patient; they were operating in the private nursing home, died due to their alleged negligence. Meanwhile, inquest proceedings by Trikuta Nagar police, under section 174 CrPC, has been started in the death of a patient in nursing home, that falls under its jurisdiction. Two doctors, one posted at GMC as a surgeon and another is posted in Government Gandhi Nagar Hospital as a anesthetist and are under transfer, were reportedly operating one Dina Nath son of Keshav Ram of Ramban ,however, the patient died during the operation. The patient, who happens to be the relative of the Chief Justice of India was admitted in Lochan Nursing Home at Trikuta Nagar. Following the death of the patient, relatives held protest demonstration against the nursing home, demanding FIR of murder against the doctors who were operating on him. The protestors also held protest demonstration in front of the GMC hospital,following which a board of doctors was constituted for postmortem of the deceased. " Police is waiting for the postmortem report of the Dina Nath following which the 174 CrPC would be converted into other sections", a senior police officer said, when contacted. |
