Early Times Report RAJOURI, June 9: Rajouri police have arrested an accused from his native village in Kalakote tehsil who was wanted by the trial court and was evading arrest for the last more than 7 years. Booked by the police at Kalakote police station in case FIR No 3/2008 under sections 325 (voluntarily causing grievous hurt), 323 (causing hurt) and 147 (rioting) RPC, the accused has been identified as Zakir Hussain Bakerwal son of Mohd Sadiq resident of Panjnara. The accused was evading arrest since his bail and was in hiding. As the accused was wanted by the trial court for further proceedings against him, police was directed to produce him. After specific inputs and on the directions from Atul Sharma, ASP, Nowshera a police party from Kalakote police station lead by inspector Mohd Iqbal, SHO rushed to village Panjnara and apprehended the accused who was in the village to meet his family members. "The accused will be produced before the trial court as warrants under sections 512CrPC were issued against the accused," said a senior police officer. |
