6/9/2016 11:42:37 PM
Early Times Report

Jammu, June 9: High court judge Janak Raj Kotwal today issued notice to state and directed that subject to objections, petitioner's grievance would be considered for his placement as incharge chief engineer.
The court directive came in a petition filed by Ashok Kumar Pradhan, stating therein that two incharge superintending engineers -- Shesh Kumar Sharma and Rajiv Kumar Gandotra - who were juniors to him, had been placed as CEs on incharge basis and sought direction to state to consider him too for the post of incharge CE.
Justice Kotwal issued notice to state and directed that subject to objections, respondents would accord consideration to the petitioner's grievance for his placement as incharge CE, take decision in this regard and furnish the report to this court along with their reply.
The petitioner's grievance is that even after his exoneration from a charge by the department, respondents were not according consideration to his placement as CE even though four vacancies were available.
After hearing his counsel, Justice Kotwal issued notice to state returnable within four weeks and ordered that subject to objections, respondents would accord consideration to his grievance of placing him as incharge CE. (JNF)
