These people are circulating last year's order declaring that schools in the winter zone of the State would close on November 24 and would reopen in February next year.
Sources said that some people want schools to close early so that they can move out from the Valley towards warmer places. JAMMU, Nov 17: A probe ordered into the medical books scam in Jammu University in July this year appears to have been an eyewash, as recommendations of the probe panel are gathering dust in the Vice-Chancellor’s Secretariat.
Notably, Director of the varsity's CDC, Jai Kumar, had purchased books worth Rs 40,000 for his doctor daughter from the exchequer after influencing Chief Librarian.

KISHTWAR, Nov 17: Ruling PDP's coalition partner BJP is yet to take any decision on whether to accept Mehbooba Mufti as Chief Minister if her father Mufti Mohammad Sayeed decides to step down, a senior BJP leader said today.
General secretary of BJP's State unit Ashok Koul said the party's core group is only authorized to take any decision on the issue.
"The party leadership will sit together in next few days and later a final decision will be taken after discussion in the BJP's core group meeting. The elected representatives would be taken into confidence before taking any decision," Koul told Early Times.

Kishtwar, Nov 17: Two employees were suspended Tuesday for remaining absent during a meeting chaired by Minister for Rural Development and Panchayat Raj, Abdul Haq Khan in Doda.
