Jammu, Sept 16: The State Vigilance Organization (SVO) has reportedly given safe passage to a senior engineer by burying a complaint filed against him, despite unambiguous recommendations made by the Investigating officer (IO) during preliminary enquiry, to register a case under Disproportionate Assets (DA) case against the engineer.
As per the enquiry report compiled by the Investigating officer against the senior engineer, a copy of which is with Early Times a handful of allegations were leveled against the him regarding corruption, disproportionate assets, purchase of land to the tune of several hundred Kanals beside others, which were investigated by the enquiry officer and the preliminary enquiry report was submitted to the SVC.
The enquiry report submitted by the IO, reads, "Enquiry reveals that land measuring 11 Kanal 16 marlas located at Greater Kailash has been purchased in the year 1999 in the name of mother-in-law of the senior engineer".
