Jammu Zimkhana, Tanishta Club win ties in Jammu City T20 | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Mar 10: Jammu Zimkhana Club and Tanishta Cricket Club won their respective matches to move into the semifinals of the Jammu City Twenty20 Cricket Cup, organized by Jammu Police under Civic Action Programme at Parade Ground, here today. In the first quarterfinal, Jammu Zimkhana Club scripted a comfortable seven wickets win against the RCC. Batting first, RCC made 80 runs with Satish (19) and Aman (11) being main contributors. Veteran cricketer, Satwant Singh took four wickets while Sahil bagged two. Rahul and Rocky shared apiece each. In reply, Jammu Zimkhana Club achieved the 81 runs target in 15 overs losing three wickets. Nippun was main scorer with 33 runs, while Jagandeep Singh and Hrithik contributed 21 and 20 runs respectively. From RCC, Kuldeep, Puneet and Amit shared apiece each. Satwant Singh declared man of the match. Meanwhile, in other quarterfinal of the day, Tanishta Cricket Club defeated Jammu Police Cricket Club by eight wickets. Batting first, Jammu Police could make 71 runs in 15 overs losing all their wickets while Sunil and Sanju contributed 22 and 18 runs respectively. For Tanishta Club, Vijay and Deepak took three wickets each while Sahil Sharma clinched two and Paras one. Later, Tanishta Club achieved the target in eight overs for the loss of two wickets. Ishan and Arsh were main scorers who added 33 and 25 runs respectively.. For Jammu Police, Rahul and Arun shared the wickets. Now, in the semifinals, scheduled for tomorrow, Jammu Zimkhana shall take on Tanishta Club at 10 am while JKP XI shall be playing against KC Sports Club at 2 pm tomorrow. |
