Rajinder Singh Auditorium in collaboration with Dean Students Welfare, University of Jammu. The two hour long programme started with the traditional lighting of the lamp by Station Director Radio Kashmir Jammu VK Sambyal, Dean Students' Welfare Prof. Pankaj K.Srivastava & the invited artists. Balbhau Umdekar "Kundal Guru", a court musician of erstwhile Gwalior State is an accomplished exponent of Gwalior Gharana of Hindustani Classical Music . The heads swayed on the splendid classical notes and charmed by the music the audience remained dazed all through the presentation. Pakhawaj is an instrument mastered mainly by the men but when shy, petite Chitrangna Agle Reshwal sat on the stage skillfully handling the Pakhawaj, it was difficult to match the aural and visual input. The strong masculine sound of the ancient percussion seemed quite the opposite to her delicate and tender personality. This also signified that every challenge has to bow its head to the determination of "STRISHAKTI". Chitrangna is the only women Pakhawaj artists in the world and what magic she doled out to the audience of Jammu. The audience only asked for more. Dr. Radhika Umdekar Budhkar, is the first ever lady Vichitra Veena player and is also from Gwalior. A tough instrument to play, there are only a few musicians left in the world who are dealing with this instrument and for a lady to take up this challenge speaks of her grit and determination. The audience of Jammu had not seen the performance of this caliber for a long time. Kakali Mukherjee from Kolkata presented Thumri, Dadra and Kajri in her silken voice. Kakli is the disciple of Sushri Sipra bose and Padam Vibhushan Girija Devi ji. The event was anchored by the ever versatile voice of Radio Kashmir Jammu Madhvi Sharma.
