JAMMU, Mar 10: Director Agriculture, Jammu Dr. S. S. Jamwal today flagged off 2nd group of 100 farmers for participation in the Krishi Vigyan Mela being held at IARI, New Delhi. On the occasion interacting with the farmers Dr. Jamwal said that farmers should see the suitable machinery and equipments which are useful as per their requirements during these visits. He also advised them to actively participate in the Kissan Goshti which is an important event of the Mela where in top experts from various areas of agriculture shall share their experiences, concerns and views on important issues. Ashok Malhotra, Joint Director of Agriculture (Extension) apprised the visiting group that Farmers Pavilion, Seminars, Workshops, Kissan Goshtis, Agriculture Technology Exhibition, Organic Farming & Certification, Direct Marketing, Cultural Events are the main attraction of the Krishi Vigyan Mela. He advised the farmers to make active participation in the ICAR-Mela and Haryana Agri. Leadership Summit 2015, have interaction with the farmers of other states, learn the new technology developed by other states and use it in their fields to increase the production and productivity of agriculture crops. |
