Centre for Women's Studies focus on writing styles, guides in ongoing workshop

Jammu, Mar 10: To celebrate the Women's Day the Centre for Women's Studies, University of Jammu, conducted a five days Workshop on Research Methodology, focusing on the writing skills, from March 9 to13, 2015.
According to press release, first day deliberations focused on recapitulation of Basic Concepts of Research.
The Resource Persons for the first day were Prof Jasbir Singh, Provost Hostels and Coordinator NSS (Campus Units), Dr. Vishav Raksha, Associate Professor, Deptt of Sociology, and Prof A.G Madhosh, Retd. Dean, Faculty of Education, University of Kashmir.
The second day deliberations focused on writing styles and guides. The resource persons were Prof. Reicha Tanwar, Director Women's Studies Centre, Kurukshetra University, Prof. Deepsheekha Kotwal (English) and Prof. Rekha Choudhry(Political Science), Dr. Jeevan Jyoti, Deptt of Commerce.
The aim is to develop writing and publishing skills of the faculty and scholars as per the UGC guidelines, for their personal and career development.
The workshop is being coordinated by Prof Neeru Sharma, Director, Dr. Priyanka Bhau and Saranjit Kaur, Faculty members of the Centre for Women's Studies.
The workshop is being attended by faculty members and scholars from the faculty of science, life sciences, social science, arts, law, University of Jammu.
