Jammu, Mar 10: Police have arrested one accused allegedly involved in committing rape following the following court directions.
Police sources said, "A 20 yrs old girl was allegedly raped at Narwal area registered a compliant with Trikuta Nagar Police which have started investigations in this regard.
"The victim, a resident of Belicharana, lodged complaint of alleged rape with her by one Shankar Lal of Rajasthan at present Narwal, police sources said. Confirming the incident, a senior police officer said that Triktua Nagar Police lodged FIR after the court gave direction to the police, adding the girl has taken the matter to the court of law.
He said that the rape accused has been arrested while the girl was got medically examined and the reports are awaited. |
