Jammu, Mar 10: Minister of State for Roads and Buildings & Revenue, Sunil Kumar Sharma today assumed the charge of his office at civil Secretariat Jammu.
After assuming the charge, Sharma convened an introductory meeting with the officers of R&B and Revenue department, the minster directed the officers to work with sincerity and honesty to come upto the expectations of the general masses.
He reiterated that Government is committed to provide people-friendly administration and added that strenuous efforts would be made for socio-economic upliftment of the weaker sections of the society.
He exhorted upon the officers to come up with comprehensive projects to achieve tangible results for the benefit of the people. He directed that problems and developmental needs of the people should be addressed on priority.
While talking to "Early Times", Sunil Sharma said that people of Chenab basin has given a massive mandate to the party by electing four MLAs from the region and added that it was onus upon them to take care the aspiration of the people and to usher era of development.
"To maintain communal harmony and brotherhood in region is top priority, he said and added that peace and brotherhood is key and imperative for the development and welfare of the region.
