Natrang Jammu to organize acting workshops for freshers

Jammu, May 7 : Natrang Jammu is going to organise Acting workshop for freshers at Natrang Studio Theatre, Kachi Chawni, Jammu.
This was disclosed here today by Director Natrang Padamshree Balwant Thakur in a press briefing at Natrang headquarters in Jammu. Describing all the details Balwant Thakur, informed that this Acting workshop, exclusively organised for freshers will be free of cost and is organised, just to encourage the new entrants in the field of theatre and acting. This Acting training programme has kept free also to celebrate the completion of most happening 32 years of Natrang in Jammu. He further added that since last few years, there is a growing demand of actors in the industry of theatre, events television and films and just to respond to that, Natrang has taken the initiative to help, support and train the fresh talents. Jammu in last few years has been very popular in the theatre and television industry. Many known faces of Indian Television like Harish Khanna (Saat Khoon Maaf, Film) Bhanu Goswami (Special Squad, Har Kadam Par Shaq, Hamari Sister Didi) Neelu Dogra (1971 Film), Mohit Raina (Devon Ke Dev Mahaa Dev), Anjali Abrol (Raja Ki Aayegi Baraat, Nachh Baliye), Juhi Singh (Yahaan, Film), Maansi Sharma (Saavdhaan India), Neelam Pathania ( Badi Door Se Aaye Hai), Ekta Kaul (Rabb Se Sona Ishq), Tajasvi Sharma (Bhanwar), Sunil Palwal (Maha Kumb) and Mohit Sharma (Akabar Beerbal) are from Jammu and most of them are the products of similar kind of Natrang's workshops and training programmes. Balwant Thakur further informed that Natrang is fortunate to have a good faculty of trained trainers who have had their training in National School of Drama (NSD), Indian Theatre Department, Satyajeet Ray Film and Television Institute, Film and Television Institute of India (FTII) London International School Performing Arts, London, Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts, London and Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute, Manhattan, New York, USA. The timings of the training programme will be daily between 2 to 5 pm and initially it will last for ten days.
