JAMMU, May 7 : To spread awareness among the children about the clean environment and to let them feel close to the nature, SOS Hermann Gmeiner School, Jammu organized a tree plantation programme within the campus. The plantation drive was held under the supervision of Principal R K Dhar who was also present on the occasion. The program commenced with singing of rhymes on environment by small kids. Speaking on the occasion Principal appreciated the enthusiasm of little kids and urged that such environment related programs should be arranged in the school to make the students realize the importance of clean and safe environment. Earlier to declare the drive started, the Principal R K Dhar planted a sapling in the school campus while tiny tots of school were encouraged by kindergarten teachers to plant the saplings themselves.
