JAMMU, May 7: Demanding maintenance of old Hindu traditions in Amarnath Yatra, Shiv Sena said that as per the customs the Yatra of Amarnath used to commence from Jeth Purinima and culminates on Sawan Purnima. Addressing a press conference here today, National President Hindustan Shiv Sena (HSS) Dimpy Kohli, State President Vikrant Kapoor and General Secretary GI Singh of Hindustan Shiv Sena. Dimpy Kohli demanded that the old Hindu tradition must be maintained and our organization is ready to send our volunteers to Amarnath from 2nd June. Hindustan Shiv Sena forwarded this demand, almost a month back but no action has been taken so far. Once again we appeal to the Governor and State Government to fulfill these demands before the commencement of Yatra. We have already submitted memorandum to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Rajnath Singh and Governor N N Vohra. Vikrant Kapoor said that all the vehicles carrying langar material and pilgrims should be exempted from Toll tax at Lakhanpur Toll Post. There should be subsidy in any sort of fuel like LPG, Coal or wood being used for langar, he added. |
