CAPD constitutes committees to prepare lists of additional APL, BPL beneficiaries

RAJOURI, May 7: As the State government has made up its mind to provide ration to the people of State as per 2011 census, the CA&PD department vide J&K Govet order No. 33-CAPD/2015 has constituted Districtwise Committees for ascertaining exact number of additional families under APL, BPL & AAY categories.
Consequent upon the constitution of District wise Committee, Deputy Commissioner, Deepati Uppal,IAS vide her office order has constituted Sub Division / Tehsil wise committees for speed up the work by constituting village wise / municipality wise committees for preparing the lists of the additional beneficiaries.
In this connection Sukh Pal Singh, Sub Divisional Magistrate (SDM) Kotranka-Budhal Zone has today convened a meeting of the officials of Revenue and Rural Development Department (RDD) and issued necessary directions in this matter. He also constituted tehsil and village level teams for completing the process in time bound frmae and directed the concerned officials to submit their reports within 7 days . Sukh Pal Singh, SDM said that the teams will complete the entire process of identification and verification of families falling under the Above Poverty Line (APL), Below Poverty Line (BPL) and Antyodaya Anna Yojna (AAY) categories. Pertinently in Rajouri district at present State Government has been providing ration to 32761 souls under APL , 48649souls under BPL and 13669 souls under AAY categories through existing Private Fair Price shops and sale centers (working on internal adjustment basis) and government controlled depots network. Immediately after taking of the reign of CA&PD ministry by Ch Zulfikar Ali,MLA from Darhal constituency in Rajouri district, the inhabitants of the districts were demanding ration as per 2011 census. Presently, the ration is being distributed as per 2001 census which, according to beneficiaries, do not meet their monthly needs and people were forced to purchase ration from open market on higher prices.
