VIJAYPUR, May 7: In its continuous drive against bovine smuggling, Police today foiled a bovine smuggling bid when it intercepted a Tata Mobile carrying bovines at Samba. The vehicle bearing Registration No JK08C-2914 coming from Kathua side was carrying 6 bovine animals which were being illegally transported without permission. On seeing the police naka at Ghagwal, the driver of the said vehicle jumped it and fled away. Thereafter, immediately a message was flashed by Ghagwal Police to Samba Police who then laid a naka at SIDCO Chowk headed by Inspector Sanjeev Chib, SHO P/S Samba under the supervision of Varinder Singh, Dy. SP HQ Samba. The driver of the vehicle fled away leaving the vehicle on spot much before the Police Naka. Accordingly, the vehicle was seized and Case FIR No. 75/2015 U/S 188 RPC, 2/3 PC Act was registered at P/S Samba and investigation carried on. Efforts are being made to on to nab the absconding accused driver. |
